Cancellation Policy
Sapientia Wellness Services has a 24-hour cancellation policy.
This means that if you cancel your session within 24 hours of the appointment, you will be charged the full session fee. Please note that the 24 hours is through business days; this means that if you have a session on Monday, you would need to cancel your session by the session time on the prior Friday. A session on a Wednesday would need to be cancelled prior to that session time on Tuesday, and so on.
Why We Have This Policy
There are a few reasons that we have and enforce this policy - and we know it is not always easy.
1) Effective schedule management for our team. Your appointment slot has been reserved for you, and if it is cancelled within 24 hours, the time that has been allocated for you is lost. With full schedules and multiple clients, our team aims to show up authentically for each and every client; attempting to fill last-minute slots or juggling multiple scheduling changes is draining and interferes with their ability to show up fully for clients.
2) Protecting the therapy or coaching relationship. The relationship between our team and their clients is the cornerstone of the psychotherapy or coaching work. Frequent cancellations can disrupt the therapeutic process and make it difficult to build trust and rapport between the therapist and client
3) Holding accountability with clients. Therapy and coaching can be an uncomfortable process, and we understand the motivation it takes to engage in it. Our cancellation policy encourages consistent attendance, to support clients in the commitment they have made to themselves to pursue self-awareness, growth, and healing.
