Approach:
My approach is trauma-informed, grounded in an understanding of how past experiences—especially those involving harm, loss, or oppression—can shape our present. I work with sensitivity to the impact of trauma on the body, mind, and relationships, and I move at a pace that honors your sense of safety and autonomy.
My work is grounded in evidence-based practices, including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). I also integrate elements from Internal Family Systems (IFS), narrative therapy, existential therapy, and psychodynamic principles to help deepen insight and foster meaningful, lasting change.
“Anything that’s human is mentionable, and anything that is mentionable can be more manageable. When we can talk about our feelings, they become less overwhelming, less upsetting, and less scary. The people we trust with that important talk can help us know that we are not alone.”
-Fred Rogers
Who I help:
I specialize in working with folks navigating eating disorders, addiction, and anxiety. These challenges can feel isolating and overwhelming, and I aim to create a space where clients feel seen, supported, and empowered in their healing process.
I am especially passionate about working with adolescents and young adults. This stage of life is filled with change, self-discovery, and often, intense pressure and confusion—from academic and career expectations to shifting relationships and identity exploration. It’s a time that can be both exciting and incredibly challenging. I strive to help young people make sense of their experiences, build resilience, and develop a strong, compassionate sense of self.
How I help:
I believe that therapy is not one-size-fits-all. Each person is unique, and what works for one individual may not resonate with another. That’s why I take an eclectic, personalized approach to treatment—drawing from a variety of therapeutic modalities to best support your specific needs, goals, and lived experience.
Whether we’re exploring your inner world, building coping skills, or shifting unhelpful patterns, I aim to create a collaborative and compassionate space where you feel safe to do the work that matters most to you. I’m here to walk alongside you with empathy, honesty, and a deep belief in your resilience.
What my clients say about working with me:
Clients often describe me as down-to-earth, validating, and comforting—someone they can be their true selves with. They feel I'm easy to talk to, and I work hard to create a space where people feel safe, seen, and genuinely heard. While I take the therapeutic process seriously and deeply respect the trust my clients place in me, I also believe that healing can include moments of lightness, laughter, and even playfulness when the time is right.
Off the clock:
When I’m not wearing my therapist hat, you can find me spending quality time with my husband, daughter, and dog, dancing, getting lost in a good book, enjoying quality TV and film, and exploring the outdoors.
