Through the completion of this course, learners will gain awareness of what knowledge and skills are necessary for effective facilitation of psychotherapy groups. This is accomplished through defining group types, facilitator role, and exploring evidence-based tools for building and maintaining cohesive group processes. Additionally, the issues of boundaries within groups, and strategies to address challenging group dynamics are explored. This three hour course is designed to satisfy the requirements for Florida Clinical Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapist, and Mental Health Counselors.
Participants will complete the course in-person. They will receive their certificates automatically for printing or downloading, after achieving an 80% or higher on the post-test and completing the course survey online.
